Humberto Moro (CCL 2021) has been named Deputy Director of Program at Dia Art Foundation!
Moro is currently Deputy Director and Senior Curator at Museo Tamayo, as well as Adjunct Curator at the SCAD Museum of Art. While at Museo Tamayo, Moro has curated OTRXS MUNDXS (2020–21), a large-scale survey of artists working in the city; organized the educational program Futuros Posibles (Possible futures, 2019– 21); and co-organized Más allá de los árboles (Beyond the trees, 2021–22), the museum’s forthcoming 40th anniversary exhibition. Moro is the curator of the 2022 Exposure section at EXPO Chicago. At SCAD, he co-organized Frederick Douglass: Embers of Freedom (2019–20) and Elizabeth Catlett: Points of Contact (2021–22); mounted a cycle of solo shows by Latin American women artists like Anna Maria Maiolino, Liliana Porter, and Nohemí Pérez, as well as exhibitions by Kenturah Davis, Isaac Julien, and Mark Wallinger.
