Kimberli Gant (CCL/Mellon Seminar 2014) has been appointed McKinnon Curator of Modern and Contemporary Art at The Chrysler Museum of Art.

Currently the Mellon Doctoral Fellow in the Department of Arts of Global Africa at the Newark Museum and a doctoral candidate at The University of Texas at Austin, Kimberli completed the CCL/Mellon Foundation Seminar in Curatorial Practice in its inaugural year. The two-week intensive offers exposure to the curatorial field and the museum landscape through a combination of exhibition and departmental visits, meetings with cultural and civic leaders, business coursework, a hands-on practicum, and more.
