Sarah Schleuning (CCL 2015) has been named The Margot B. Perot Senior Curator of Decorative Arts and Design at the Dallas Museum of Art.
Sarah joins the Dallas Museum of Art from the High Museum of Art, Atlanta, where she oversaw collecting and exhibitions of decorative arts and design. Her slate of notable exhibitions—including "Iris van Herpen: Transforming Fashion" and "Dream Cars: Innovative Design, Visionary Ideas"—as well as her expansion of the museum's partnerships with designers, fabricators, and artists, prepare her well for this new role.
Agustín Arteaga, Eugene McDermott Director, remarks on Sarah's leadership skills, adding that she "brings not only a wealth of experience and knowledge on decorative arts and design, but also an interest in developing imaginative and new ways to enhance community engagement, outreach, and access."
