White Cube names Toby Kamps (CCL 2015) as Director of External Projects

 Toby Kamps (CCL 2015) has been named Director of External Projects at White Cube, London. 

Of his hire, White Cube notes, "Toby joins White Cube from the Blaffer Art Museum, University of Houston, where he held the position of Jane Dale Owen Director and Chief Curator. Since 2016, he has also served as Curator for the Spotlight section at Frieze London and New York.

Kamps is an experienced curator who previously worked at the Menil Collection, Houston; Contemporary Arts Museum Houston; Institute of Contemporary Art, Maine College of Art, Portland; and the Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego. He has also written for numerous exhibition catalogues and art magazines.

Under the direction of White Cube’s Global Artistic Director Susan May, Kamps will be responsible for seeking new business opportunities for the gallery and leading on external projects in the UK and abroad, from conception to execution.

Toby will also play a key role in securing new artists for representation and act as an Artist Liaison for a range of White Cube artists, advising on career strategy, studio liaison, exhibitions and production."
