Congratulations to Kristopher Driggers (CCL/Mellon Seminar 2017) who has been named Assistant Curator, Bernard and Jeanette Schmidt Curator of Latin American Art at the Tucson Museum of Art and Historic Block.
Kris participated in the annual CCL/Mellon Seminar in Curatorial Practice in 2017, and expects to complete his doctoral work in May at The University of Chicago. Driggers' work has been supported by a Ford Foundation Predoctoral Fellowship and an Erasmus Dissertation Research Fellowship, which have enabled him to conduct research with objects in Mexico City and Madrid. TMA's CEO, Jeremy Mikolajczak, shares: “Kristopher’s range of study, international research and experience will provide the vision and practical skills to present, interpret and build TMA’s pre-Columbian collection, install the Kasser Family Wing, and produce insightful publications, public lectures, and symposia.”
