Lauren Haynes (CCL 2018) Named Senior Curator at the Nasher Museum of Art at Duke University

Lauren Haynes (CCL 2018) has been named the Patsy R. and Raymond D. Nasher Senior Curator at the Nasher Museum of Art! 

Since 2016, Lauren has served as the curator of contempoary art at the Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art, in addition to serving, since 2020, as the Director of Artsitic Initiatives at The Momentary. Prior to her time at Crystal Bridges, Lauren worked at The Studio Museum in Harlem for nearly a decade, where she organized numerous exhibitions highlighting artists such as Stanley Whitney, Alma Thomas, and Carrie Mae Weems. 

"I am thrilled that Lauren is joining our team...I’m so impressed with how she has helped build a more inclusive collection at Crystal Bridges, acquiring works by artists like Jordan Casteel, Emma Amos, Sam Gilliam and Amy Sherald," said Trevor Schoonmaker, Mary D.B.T. and James H.
