Congratulations to Nora Burnett Abrams (CCL 2018) on her appointment to the Mark G. Falcone Director of the Museum of Contemporary Art Denver!

She has curated 0ver 30 exhibitions while at the museum, including Tara Donovan: Fieldwork (2018), Basquiat Before Basquiat (2017), and Ryan McGinley: The Kids Were Alright(2017). Prior to joining the MCA Denver, Abrams worked on the exhibitions Sol LeWitt on the Roof and Robert Rauschenberg: Combines at The Metropolitan Museum of Art. Abram's upcoming exhibition Francesca Woodman: Portrait of a Reputation will open at the MCA Denver in September.

Abrams commented, “I am honored to have been selected as MCA Denver’s next Mark G. Falcone Director. Having spent almost ten years at this institution, I am inspired daily by my colleagues and the creative energy in Denver. It is especially meaningful to succeed Adam Lerner who always encouraged me to stretch myself as a curator, conceive exhibitions that disrupt and break from convention and serve as a model for innovative thinking.”
